A letter from the collection from a Royal Artillery officer in Fethard to a Mrs Lysaght, whose husband had been shot by the IRA (may have been agrarian) near Cloneen, wondering if she'd write a letter requesting no reprisal against the village as his CO intended to burn the town if Mr. Lysaght died.
