@fsf serious question: what’s the alternative phone option today for the “average” person? If I did a find/replace for apple/google on this post, it’s almost still all true. Sure, I can get a (Google) Pixel and install a de-googled Android OS (made by Google), but this is hardly reasonable for most people.

I love the idea of a truely “free” phone (librephone?), but if that doesn’t exist today, what good is telling Apple I’m going to boycott their devices… one day… when there’s alternatives… ?
