The Pebble is baaaaaack!!!
Already doing a better job than my Apple Watch and I've had it on for 5 hours.

After 24 hours of heavy first-day use, the battery is down to...
91%
@sawaba this is exciting! 🎉
do you still have an original Pebble? I took a look at the app, which claims to work with original ones – I’m very tempted to get my old one out & see if it still holds a charge before buying a new one (and maybe replace the battery if not)… 🤔
@itgrrl go for it, it should work and will just cost you a few minutes
One difference is that the new ones have something like 3x longer battery life
@sawaba interesting, thx. I’m 98.763% confident I already flashed the firmware to the Rebble one years ago but will need to check
is Core / newPebble not proving a new sanctioned / blessed firmware for older devices? or have they just said “go use the Rebble one”? (I can / will search to find this info if you don’t know OTTOYH 🙃)
it was sitting exactly where I thought it was, sans band but right next to the charge cable & some watch strap pins – I dug out an old Apple watch band to match the “aged” appearance, removed the Apple connector, et voilà 💁♀️
I charged it Monday night & took it off Tuesday morning, so it’s at ~2.5 days uptime just sitting on a desk but alerting & vibrating for every notification – Battery+ app is throwing up a “0 Hour Left” screen periodically but is showing 41% remaining in the app ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (& the Battery Lifetime app concurs, showing 40%)
the app just prompted me to update the firmware to v4.4.1-rbl so I’ll do that then stick it back on the charger so Battery+ can start tracking charge cycles & discharge rates 😊
