You know what's more cost-effective and will make a real difference?
Proper enforcement and actual BOLLARDS along King St. Make 'em just wide enough for streetcars to pass through.

A little known fact about streetcars: they cannot swerve from their path. If something is stuck in a snowbank, a streetcar cannot swerve so much as a micrometer to get past it. This isn't policy, it's physics.
Policy, on the other hand, gleefully deploys streetcars in historic blizzards and wonders why they are unreliable? …
