After 11 years of the playerbase constantly requesting content based on sub-Saharan cultures (ANY sub-Saharan cultures, at this point), the way there have been DLCs for the US, Japan, the US, South America, the US, the UK, Scandinavia, the UK, nebulous tropical islands, the US, the US, Southeast Asia, the US, and of course everyone's favorite destination Batuu...

...TS4 throws in a couple of assets in the middle of a free game update inspired by West Africa.

Woah, pillows and plants, now THAT is representation !!!

It's not the first time that EA does this. A few years ago they slid a couple of North African assets in a free game update (mainly Moroccan).
Basically EA doing what they always do : pretend to care about inclusivity, but certainly not giving more than crumbs of it. An entire DLC about Black people ? God no !

Can't wait for the next DLC set in... let me guess, the US ?

11 years of people speculating about which African country a DLC could be set in, and what the related gameplay features could be about. Family-driven gameplay ? Afrofuturism ? Music and bands support ?
And the players get THIS.

God I'm so glad I'm no longer one of them.

(I was on team Afrofuturism when I still cared)
