It's a day to reflect on the Charlie Savage book, 'Takeover' about the Bush-Cheney "Imperial Presidency" which took so much of the power to wage war away from Congress and made the Executive the premiere branch. (Congress was supposed to be "first among equals" because they connect to the people every 2 years).

It's that day, because if the SCOTUS hands the Executive untrammeled ability to change tariffs with any BS "emergency" they invent, that "Takeover" will be more complete.

As I reflect on the loss of Dick Cheney, I recall that he was responsible for torture camps and the mass slaughter of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Then I remember how much better the whole planet is because that piece of shit is gone.

I am sorry though. Sorry he never went to prison.
