🛠️ Showing Up, Even When It’s Hard

Today I went to work in the only clothes I have. No extras. No backup. Just me, tired but present. Because showing up is my number one rule. And sometimes, that’s all I can do.

Let me be clear: I’ve always loved working. I’ve held multiple jobs at once, skipped vacations, and found community in my coworkers. Work was my rhythm, my social circle, my lifeline.
But these past few years? It’s been a struggle just to get hired. No record. College degree. Still, rejection after rejection. I’ve applied everywhere—Burger King, Dunkin’, you name it. I’ve never turned down a job offer, even when it wasn’t ideal. I just wanted to work.
Now I’m back in the game. The office is massive—an old mall turned workspace—and I feel like I belong. I know I can do this job. I’m already thinking long-term, hoping to grow within the company and prove I’m worth keeping.
But I’m still in survival mode. No stable housing yet. No clean clothes. I need help covering food and a few basics—underwear, socks, a shirt and pants. Just enough to show up with dignity while I build something better.
🙏 If you’ve supported me before, thank you. If you’re able to help this week, it would mean the world. I’m hoping to lock in a studio apartment by Wednesday. After that, I’ll be able to breathe, focus, and thrive.

This season is tough, but I believe it’s sacred. I believe something beautiful is being born from it. One day, I hope to turn this journey into a nonprofit that helps others rebuild too.

For now, I’m here. I’m working. I’m showing up.
