meeting with my case manager from the intellectual and developmental disabilities office in a bit.

we never get anything done tho.

like. i would love to have a support person to help me out with this but i do not.

they typically work with parents but my parents kinda failed in the "get daughter appropriate services" department.

i need a #medicaid waiver or something. but i don't have medicaid and am not sure how to go about getting it/qualifying.

it's always in danger too.

i have medium support needs or something. idk how to describe it.

i want to have my own place, but have ended up hospitalized both times i tried.

so supportive housing (not a group home tho) would be a good step i think. even if i have to prove i'm ready for it at a more supported level. as long as it isn't an institution.

but i need a #medicaid waiver. and they talk is all directed at parents. not directly to the client. i am doing this by myself.

@superheroine Oof, all the uncertainty over what's happening in Medicaid can't help either /: Would you be able to call your state's Medicaid to see if they can walk you through it? It's hold music hell but maybe it could work? 🫂

@Sharksonaplane

she directed me to an organization the outsource to that will help me do that. so i will try them tomorrow or wednesday.

thank you 🫂
