I did host a #RetroGaming event yesterday. We pulled out some old PCs, a #Vectrex, a Mac Classic and some old consoles (#Nintendo #GameBoy, #Atari #Lynx, #Sega #GameGear, #Atari2600, #Sega #MasterSystem, #Sony #PS1, etc).

We took appropriate pictures with a Sony MVC-FD71 and a Konica Q-M200.

A lot of fun was had playing #DukeNukem3D, #DOOM and the newly discovered "gem" #Eradicator.

I really liked the wooden chest pc. I'll call him "Treasure Island"
I called it "Project Doombox" when building it
@dec_hl Bit late to the party but I'm glad Eradicator is getting some appreciation these days. Never played the full version, but found the demo I played back in the 90s quite nice. Introduced the concept of different character classes without going the full RPG route of Hexen while being tied to confusing hubs. Remote controlling enemies also was a very interesting concept.
Well, LGR mentioned the game in his screen toy video. I looked it up, saw some video footage, some devastating reviews and the
@dec_hl Civvie also covered it recently ... and while staying on brand with "I guess I'm doomed to an endless supply of janky boomer shooters" it didn't get ripped apart.

somehow that comment got truncated.

LGR mentioned the game in his screen toy video. I looked it up, saw some video footage, some devastating reviews and the 2EUR price point on GOG and decided it is the right thing for the upcoming retro LAN party.

no idea why I missed it back in the days, never heard of it!
