An elementary school displayed a concentration camp phrase on a float at Hanover’s Halloween parade

One Hanover resident said he wondered if he had to fear for his safety in the town.

Reminds me of #TheGreatGatsby #FScottFitzgerald ā€œā€™Can’t repeat the past?’ he cried incredulously. ā€˜Why of course you can!’ He looked around him wildly, as if the past were lurking here in the shadow of his house, just out of reach of his hand"

AND this #HalloweenParty

@six_grandfathers_mountain That WAS his Halloween party.

The Great Gatsby.

How ironic.

As for York County and the Pennsylvania Rust Belt? Obviously racism, the 🤔 and Holocaust denial go hand in hand. As does stupidity.

There is a great example of how to ā•not take advantage of the #workingpoor by a corporation, the Milton Hershey story #cspan

See the 45min ā•VIDEO here, it's a very positive story.
(except they don't cover the unhealthy effects of sugar)

@six_grandfathers_mountain Of course they'll skip the bad stuff about sugar.

Hershey Park may be one of the few bright spots in that part of the Rust Belt.

From what I've seen and read over the years, people are still longing for those factory jobs to return.
