Happy All Saints’ Day! After a full month of celebrating spiders for #Arachtober, it feels fitting to share this.
In the 3rd century, Saint Felix of Nola was fleeing persecution. He hid in a small opening in a wall, and a spider quickly spun a thick, intricate web across the entrance. When his pursuers arrived, they saw the web untouched and passed by, assuming no one could be inside.
Because of this miracle, Saint Felix is considered the patron saint of spiders.
