It's #Kaijuktober! And to celebrate it I'm watching a #kaiju #movie every day.
Today's movie was: The Secret of the Telegian / 電送人間 (1960)
Apparently a successor to The H-Man (1958), it also features a shape-shifting human. Directed by Jun Fukuda, the #film is a serious work from start to finish, beautifully shot too, nothing to do with the characteristic goofiness of his later films. Looking at you, Son of Godzilla (1967).
I give it 3½/5 Kaiju

Today's movie was: Varan the Unbelievable (1962) The Americanization of Varan (1958), and unlike Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956) — which uses body doubles to convince you the new main character was always there — and Gigantis, the Fire Monster (1959) — which mostly changes dialog — this one uses only around 10 minutes of the original #film.
