Oh no there is a financial hole in the budget who could have ever seen this coming for the last 20 years
@TheBreadmonkey Thatcher has been dead for a long time, but the spirit of her neoliberal delusion still reigns over an entire society. #Shifty
@TheBreadmonkey If this is true, the public finances are the least of our worries..
@TheBreadmonkey saw an outraged headline about one of Starmer's advisors having claimed expenses of £600 for three office chairs so how can he possibly advise on a budget shortfall
@TheBreadmonkey If it has been there for 20 years and the country hasn’t gone bankrupt it doesn’t seem to be an urgent problem.

@TheBreadmonkey I know. We all have to pay eye watering tax to close an overdraft our parent’s government ran up and didn’t pay off when the economy was a lot better. But this is “credible financial prudence” apparently.

Maybe Rachel Reeves should go and see Citizens Advice?

@TheBreadmonkey

So the hole hasn't gotten any bigger in 20 years. If you factor in the inflation rate, the hole has actually gotten smaller.🤓 😬

@catflyhigh

You have totally got me with the science on that

@TheBreadmonkey Sounds like a stable black hole to me, nice job!
