I've heard this bird before but have no idea what it is as I haven't managed to see it. Can anyone identify it for me, please? There are other noises in the video, but it's the bird Im looking to identify. It is definitely a bird, by the way, as it has flitted from one side of the path to the other. #fediverse #mastodon #Twitchers

The sound is a squirrel telling someone off (it's an alarm bark)

@aaron Tank you for your response. I've heard squirrils alarm bark before but this didn't seem to sound like it. but I will look out for one.

@lindasgoluppiart I think it’s a Jackdaw. At least the Merlin app on my phone from Cornell Labs identifies it as such but it’s not as good with recordings as it is live. I recommend the app though for adding something interesting to do on your walks 🙂
