Locked and loaded.

We source all our firewood from a local tree surgeon. They're not farmed, kiln-dried logs from fast-growing exotics. Just stuff that was diseased or otherwise had to go for whatever reason.

That's why they're all different sizes, shapes and colours.

I condition all the wood myself in a #SolarKiln which is, in fact, a £30 greenhouse from Aldi and a couple of pallets knocked together.

So, yeah. This was carbon that was going back into the ecosystem anyway. And when the woodburner is on, gas consumption usually stops at this time of year.
