#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day1 #mustache

Yeah, I’m starting out pretty simple. Takes a couple days for my brain to get back into the swing of doing these drawings.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day3 #crown

I knew when I first saw this year’s prompt list I’d likely try to draw an Apple Watch for today, showing its Digital Crown.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day4 #murky

As one who’s never enjoyed drinking coffee, I can honestly say the beverage never looks to me like anything other than dirty murky water.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day5 #deer

Okay this is VERY much a first for me—pencil-sketching a drawing, inking it in, then filling and shading with color. Yes, I Googled a reference step-by-step on how to do it, but unlike a couple times the last two years, I’m determined to NOT copy any drawings into Linea for tracing this year.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day6 #pierce

If I had ANY talent to draw likenesses of recognizable people, I’d have done something pertaining to Pierce Brosnan. But I lack such talent, so I went with a night scene of a car’s headlights piercing the darkness.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day7 #starfish

Apparently a LOT of people drew Patrick Star today. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day8 #reckless

Wreck-It-Ralph would be considered a reckless character, right?

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day9 #heavy

I feel your pain, Sisyphus.

I’m not really sure why, but my timelapse video refused to attach to this toot. Maybe because it isn’t straight out of Linea Sketch. It took a trip through iMovie for a surprise. Check it out in the next threaded toot.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day9 #heavy

Probably due to the trip through iMovie, today’s timelapse wouldn’t attach to the previous toot, so here it is by itself. Why iMovie? Because I just had to include a surprise bonus soundtrack!

“♬︎♫︎♬︎ Ohhh, let’s name the species, the species, the species. Let’s name the species that live in the seeeeeeaaaa!! ♬︎♫︎♬︎”

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day12 #shredded

Cheese, potatoes, carrots…so many foods are “grate” when they are shredded!

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day13 #drink

These days, water is what I drink 95% of the time.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day16 #blunder

Blender blunder.

LOL in true form of today’s prompt word, I committed a blunder by posting today’s drawing and forgetting to attach it to the thread of prior drawings, so I deleted it and posted again here!

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day18 #deal

“I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.”

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day20 #rivals

If you know why these two cars are rivals, then you are a true child on the ’80s.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day23 #firefly

Let me just say I’m only vaguely familiar with the franchise. Never watched any of it. I don’t know if this drawing is even a decent representation of the #Serenity. I found a step-by-step guide that seemed to fit my skill level, and this was the result.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day24 #rowdy

♫︎♬︎♬︎♫︎
The Rowdies run here, the Rowdies run there,
They kick the ball around,
The Rowdies run here, the Rowdies run there,
Then they fall on the ground!
Oh the Rowdies, the Rowdies!
The Rowdies are…a kick in the grass!

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day26 #puzzling

Toilet paper math is the most puzzling math.

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day28 #skeletal

Remember: even those of us who’ve always claimed we can’t draw can still have fun with Inktober … Until we meet again!!

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day29 #lesson

I enjoyed @gedeonm’s pixel art style yesterday so much, I took it as a lesson and used the style to draw a classroom!

As a final toot in this #Inktober #Inktober2025 thread, I’ll say that while I started out thinking my skill was no better than last year, not to boast but I can absolutely see that I’ve improved a lot.

I may not ever really be able to draw from something I envision in my head and might always have to look at source material as I draw. But I stuck to my decision this year to not trace anything whatsoever.

Only one or two of my drawings I feel meh about. REALLY happy with most. And FUN!

@leebennett You absolutely got better this year, your drawings have been impressive and I’m proud of you for sticking with it. I’ve also enjoyed seeing your wife’s drawings, she’s great too. Glad you had fun, I sure did.

@gedeonm I fear she may not repeat next year. She loved doing these but she tells me it really stressed her.

I suppose I should introduce her to Inktober 52.

As for mine, there are definitely two least favorite: weave and pierce. Both feel like cop outs. Some others I can tell were busy work days and I couldn’t spend much time on the drawing. Unlike you, all but 2-3 I drew the day they were to be posted.

But yes, I for one will definitely be back at it next year!

@leebennett Nice! Have enjoyed your drawings. Well done all around!
@gedeonm Thank you. And yours as always. (Closing toot thread post summary is pending.)
@leebennett sweet!!
@gedeonm When I made the apple with just two pixels, this comic was going through my head!
@leebennett LOLZ. Seems about right.
@leebennett That’s great. Debated doing Skeletor glad you did. 👍
