@JeroenP thank you! I use a Canon EOS R7 and the RF 100-500 zoom (99% of the time.). I haul it all over the park, desert, river, or mountains on a Cotton carrier vest. And always carry some DEET wipes - where there be birds, there are bugs!

@GriffithPark settings: manual, 1/5000th for birds in flight, as slow as I can get away with for everything else down to 1/80th. Always wide open F/stop wise.
