I've been thinking along the same lines but not in as much detail as you have. IMHO just taking the gavel away from Speaker Johnson would be enough to stop many of the abominations. It only takes nine GOP House members to call for a motion to vacate. 1/2

Then those nine would meet with the Democratic leaders, select a compromise candidate - IMHO a sitting Republican Representative would be better than #Liz48 - and send them to demand that Trump step down. If he doesn't, then pass the articles of impeachment. 2/2
