Graham Perrin/etc/rc.conf no longer working as expected for something basic.
Not fixed after installing then using bsdconfig and easy editor.
Still bugged in BETA3.
In the first screenshot – a more thorough test of the issue – it was impossible to login as root.
The third shot shows the failing result of a first attempt to work around.
A subsequent workaround succeeded, however the end result is quite ugly, and may be broken (with the possibility of another login failure) as a result of a true fix.
