Recommendation time!

I want books (or other reading materials) on communication strategies for leftist/anarchist/socialist thought/recruitment/education

This could be:
- history of effective or ineffective communication by various movements
- practical insights from activists & organizers involved in recruiting & educating
- sociological/anthropological analysis of effective political communication/propaganda efforts
- lots of other things probably

#AnarchistReadingList

It's possible that some general manuals on communication strategy could be useful as well, but many of those are written from the perspective of sales/marketing, & the aggressive capitalist attitudes would probably cause me psychic damage.

I'm looking to hone both my verbal & written communication skills to be more effective & persuasive.

I'm a good writer, but I want to become a better propagandist. Likewise, I have some personal experience by now with guiding people through shifts in perspective, but it's very limited. I'd like to know more.

@artemis For me, the grandparent of all works on organizing were the Saul Alinsky books. That was back in the day, and Alinsky's rep has not fared very well, to be honest. But _Rules for Radicals_ and _Reveille for Radicals_ felt, idunno, enabling I guess, for me.
