@stevewfolds @Faskil Never had the opportunity, it's pretty rare in the UK, I didn't know there was a synthetic version, but we had good LSD and plentiful Psilocybin mushrooms. Interesting about the Mormons, I wonder how many other religions started in similar circumstances. Governments missed a trick there, "Drugs cause religions, just say no" would have been a more effective deterrent
@skyportradio @Faskil Didn’t encounter Psilocybin until a few years later & always in dry form. It was eaten or smoked. Haven’t taken psychedelics in 45 years.

amanita muscaria isn't that poisonous though. Muscimol is a useful GABA-A agonist. Ibotenic acid (or pre-muscimol) can make you vomit, but it's easy to convert it into muscimol. Just don't mix it up with amanita pantherina

ben dafydd gillard@Faskil that one (fly agaric, Amanita muscaria) probably won't kill you. It might make you nauseous for a while, and vomit, if it's not prepared in the right way, and will probably make you high.
Estarriol, Terrorist Dragonall mushrooms are edible once.....
