Basit ( @rjbasitali ) knows more about running and hosting all the different Fediverse software than anyone else in the world!

Basit is shy about promoting himself — he is more of a private person. So I am saying something nice about him publicly 🙂

Basit has been a major part of #SpaceHost from the beginning.

SpaceHost is the 2nd Fediverse hosting company — masto-host was the first. But, where masto-host only hosts Mastodon — SpaceHost hosted all Fediverse software (including Mastodon).

Basit ( @rjbasitali) and I knew each other years before SpaceHost. We worked together at another company.

I was an advisor for the company. Basit was the top back-end engineer there.

Without taking any credit for it, Basit has been the person responsible for certain areas of the Fediverse working and continuing to work.

Well, I want to publicly give him credit for it — even if I embarrass him a bit 🙂
