I've been punching Nazis since 1989.
@grumpygamer Now I'm having the PC speaker sounds in my head. <3
@grumpygamer I was stuck in that part of the game for months, until I got the hint book. Good old times.
@grumpygamer it suddenly strikes me I haven't played anything like Castle Wolfenstein in a long, long time. I have a terrible feeling that I'll never be able to find that in storage. But if I do, I'm gonna sit down to a game.
@grumpygamer
Yeah, keep punching !
@grumpygamer I played this game before I saw the move and once I saw the movie I was like oh boy that would have made playing the game more easier :)
@grumpygamer punching? You shoulda seen what we were doing to those fucks in Castle Wolfenstein in 81.
@grumpygamer @fanta
People didn't play the game, now they prefer nazis side. 🤷
@grumpygamer I owned a c64 back in the day when this game was released. I felt so proud of having a machine capable of running games like ZakMc and ManiacM that I was shocked to hear that Indy wasn't going to be released on the small commodore. Was it only a techincal issue for not porting it to C64 or there was some other reason?
@zooropa The c64 market had died by then.
@grumpygamer I was never any good at boxing, so I had to mostly talk my way through it. Not my favorite game, but still an interesting one. I still wonder how far the Swedish translation got before it was shelved. (I've heard the Monkey Island one was pretty much done.)

@grumpygamer
You are actually Ron Gilbert? Whoa, Monkey Island and other point and click adventures of that time were the first games I can remember!

Thanks for these games!

@grumpygamer 1988 & 1989 were such good years for Nazi punching mini-games.
