Folded some origami with curved creases and miura ori pattern on cyanotype paper. Put it outside to get some sun. Washed and flattened, this is what they look like.

@logicalelegance That's brilliant :)
Tried something along the same lines with a 3D printed landscape / mountain range in transparent filament, hoping it would cast shadows on the paper. Didn't work, "transparent" but not to UV I think. Must retry it with transparent resin...
@logicalelegance that looks beautiful! Is cyanotype the same as what we used to call blueprint paper?
@rhempel No, it is marketed as sunorint paper, turns dark blue in tye sun, white where shaded.
@rhempel actually, yes, blueprints use the cyanotype paper… though I don’t know how yet
@logicalelegance I read the Wikipedia page for blueprints - there was a chemical bath used after exposure ... So notbquite the same :-)

@logicalelegance #Alt4You Three abstract cyanotype photos showing the flattened fold marks of light-sensitive papers that were exposed to the sun.

The images show rhythmic, accordion-style tessellations and variegated, alternating colors of blue, from the chemical reaction of light exposure, and white, from where the fold pattern prevented light from interacting with the chemical.
