Another ancient floppy disk, I had been tracking down for years: BLOCKOUT for the IBM-PC on a single, 5.25 inch 360K double density diskette. It's basically a 3D version of TETRIS and it's awesome!

Have fun, everyone! 😜

Does it have an anaglyph mode? 1980s 3D tetris was more 3D than 2020s VR Tetris.
@dfx it was one of the few games that supported Hercules cards, so naturally I had it
@dfx sadly I only have the Amiga version! This one of the first three games we had on our 286, and I badly wanted the boxed PC version for nostalgia's sake, but it seems very rare!
@root42 To be fair, the Amiga release actually did have better graphics and better sound than its PC counterpart!
@dfx Sound, maybe. But the EGA 640x350 was great.
@dfx I played this so much on our 286. Still remember the intro jingle.
@dfx nice game.
@filid That SCREEN! Holy cow! I'm loving this so much! Thanks for sharing!
@dfx
thx, played this a lot as kid
@dfx holy cow I remember playing this!! I must have been in grade school, this is awesome <3

@dfx ooooh, great! I lost the original and only have a copy of a few files, enough to play but.

I cannot beat my highscore from 1992 though. I blame ageing fingers, that the keyboard of my Schneider EURO PC was better, and that the whole system ran with less interruptions so better timing was possible.

And, of course, that I had a proper Hercules screen back then. I never got a hang of the colours.

@dfx I loved that game so much!
