Eldest child has been hand grinding #daizu to make #kinako (#きγͺ粉 roasted soybean flour), some kind of Japanese cultural heritage homework? They don’t want to eat it, so some just went on my breakfast porridge 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿πŸ₯£πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ - fusion cuisine - it’s an OK but not great combination.
@imikotoba Mixed with sugar, it goes well with boiled mochi. Roasted sesame also needs some sugar and soy to bring out its aroma. (Spinach in sesame sauce is a favorite of mine from 'way back.)
@fgbjr I put some soft dark brown sugar on to porridge too (still hot enough to melt it), that worked better than the kinako alone πŸ‘

@solsetur I quite liked porridge, kinako and brown sugar. Might try it again as there is spare kinako.
