New BSD Cafe Service: ntfy Server at BSD Cafe – The BSD Cafe Journal

@stefano maybe I will look crazy, but I am living that notifications are going just between client and server, so then nfty seems as redundant. I did some quick searching and I am amazed, unfortunately iOS require their APN no other way 😢

To complement your good work, we also have https://push.ngportal.com available to the public as our notification server.

Everyone is welcome to use it.

And for those wanting more, they can check our website https://panafricanssi.org for all ONLINE SERVICES and their statuses.

While some services require no application, such as XMPP, MQTT, and push notifications, many more require collecting some information. Unified communication e g. XMPP(ActivityPub)<=>Email<=>Cloud-Storage and other free hosting require filling out the form at https://link.ngportal.com/online-services.

Together, we are making a positive impact on lives and bringing about some long deserved changes.

Making sure you're not a bot!

@stefano I currently use #sunup for unified push, do I need to disable it for #nfty to work? I've set the server to https://ntfy.bsd.cafe
Do I need to subscribe to a topic??

Edit: indeed I did need to disable sunup. Seems to be working now
