Have I mentioned how much I love the dreamlike juxtapositions the half-frame camera creates? Diptychs forever! This one gives such a string sense of place - 2 images to say, this is what it's like here. There's no way to know which two images are going to end up on one frame (if there is don't tell me) and i love that uncertainty and bit of random chance. Several more from this roll on my Instagram

Maybe things fall quiet here for a while and maybe that’s just fine. We long to escape the Meta race of views, likes, and profit margins. Just for ourselves… Slowly dreaming of Italy, and a few frames from last year 2024 With friends, and a half-frame Pen. My friends stayed loyal... the Pen, not so much. To be continued, with a 2025 series and other analogue cameras. And I decided to create an Italy collection. https://pixelfed.social/c/859471472028054438 #diptych #italy #ilford #halfframe #holidays #onfilm #filmphotography

Lieven Symaeys: Analog diptych

"People who model in front of this camera are always pretty relaxed because it doesn’t feel like a real serious camera." A while back we published an article about Lieven Symaeys and his project called "The tiger project". If you want to see his previous work, you can find
