GLITCH DIRECT 2025

Updates from #GlitchProductions on #MurderDrones, #TheAmazingDigitalCirucs, #TheGaslightDistrict, "and more"

#KnightsOfGuinevere was not explicitly mentioned, but I expect something on that too. I think this would be the fastest ever a Glitch show is greenlit if that's announced today, so probably not that, but at least something hopefully

#TheAmazingDigitalCircus
Another suggestion box adventure, this time from Bubble! Caine throws a fff---ing beach party! Can't wait to see how it gets a lot more dark and a lot more intense on a bright sunny day at the beach
Gangle's comedy mask is broken before they even get to the beach again :(
I wish they made Kinger was incredibly buff like in the fangame
Jax is not participating again, not even in beach attire
#TADC EPISODE 7 DROPS DECEMBER 12!

Going frame-by-frame, there was some actual show footage in the Ep 8 preview, but it was blurred to hell and back. I guess we'll have to find out on March 20th, 2026!
I think this is the earliest we have gotten an exact date, I wonder how things are behind the scenes to come up with that

Episodes 5-7 will drop simultaneously on #Netflix on December 12th. No mention of the rumored difficulties between Glitch and Netflix, only that "[they] found out that people just prefer watching things in batches over on Netflix"

#KnightsOfGuinevere
As expected, it isnt greenlit yet, buy merch at kog.store lol. Nothing new announced, just appreciation for the support so far

#MurderDrones
Maaaaaaaan they got me hyped for a Season 2 :(((
I'm absolutely looking forward to the Murder Drones x #TheLivingTombstone music video in one week on October 17, just not as much as I was expecting with all that post-finale original animation on my screen. That's going to be a good early birthday present
And less than 1 week until the Murder Drones Official Graphic Novel from #OniPress closes on Kickstarter on October 14

#TheGaslightDistrict
Pre-production is deep under way. They're really emphasizing this one's gonna have a slower release cadence as they really focus on making it as beautiful as possible. I support that!
No timeframe for release yet, still focusing on finishing TADC first

#Lackadaisy (‽)
Not that unexpected as they've already announced working with Glitch's FinalFinal_Project for merch, but still quite unexpected as Season 1 has already been in the works for a while under Iron Circus Animation
This is just a partnership under their new "Glitch Presents" brand, only co-producing the show.
They emphasize it's still being made by the same core crew and VAs who did the original pilot and shorts -- Hazbin callout lol?
Still deep in production, with no release date yet

Glitch Presents is their new banner for shows they support without fully creating and funding themselves. Notably, Glitch Presents shows may be exclusive to streaming services, not released for free on YouTube.
Glitch Originals aren't changing though

#Glitch meta / my opinions
It's getting harder and harder to call Glitch truly indie now. Not all in a bad way, their production quality is amazing and it's nice they're supporting other projects.
But, not all in a good way, either. So far it seems like Lackadaisy is still the only other project they're working with, and that's still a big one imo—I'd put it third behind Glitch and SpindleHorse (Helluva/Hazbin). There's a LOT of much smaller aspiring pilots and shows too.
Over a year after it's initial announcement, Lackadaisy is still the only non-Glitch original show listed on FF_P, and now it officially has the Glitch logo on it too.

I'm also worried about the trend of their announcement videos. The first GlitchX in 2023 was a FOUR AND A HALF HOUR livestream of panels not just with Glitch properties, but several other indie creators.
In 2024, it was cut down to just one hour of pre-recorded content, but still very heavily featured other indie shows, even more so than the original.
Now, in 2025, it's been completely replaced by "Glitch Direct", a 13-minute video just talking about their own shows.
This feels like a very corporate move, and I hope this trend reverses *quickly*
