@sodiboo I'm transsexual but no furry

@sodiboo remantic: the most transhumanist, which delve in technology and the evolution of mankind and themselves are the most interested of keeping this future away from these people claws.

Actually my theory is that IT is a safe haven for introverts and social akward people and both furries and trans find easily their plaice in there, while being subject by the curse of knowledge of knowing how corporations act

@sodiboo make the web look less bland!!! Add back sparkles and colors and funny fonts and rounded 3d designs and pastel clouds
@CAETFOOD or a 2000s-era Matrix aesthetic!
@numb3r5ev3n @CAETFOOD
"You take the green text.."
@sodiboo "money sick" is sutch a good description. Love it.
@sodiboo as a transexual furry hacker, I'm happy I was able to help make this image

@foone @sodiboo

"...These are their stories."

@Mendie_Taoma :: chung chung! ::

@wesdym

You misspelled Doink Doink.

@sodiboo also old geezers who remember
@sodiboo these days I'm more interested in what people are doing on old weak hardware. Port doom to something weird. Make a GBA game. Get Linux working on an Atari Jaguar or something ridiculous like that.
@QueenAdrian @sodiboo It's fun and can be engaging and educational. Do the Jaquar thing, sure. But, it doesn't help my late-middle-aged government-employed civil-servant neighbour with their isolating win-11/i* BigTech addiction. It was a blessing when we could rescue them from InternetExploder, but now they (and me, on Linux desktop) are now a bit stuck in Chrome. [I transition slowly to Librewolf]. https://ripe90.ripe.net/archives/video/1565/ and https://ripe90.ripe.net/archives/video/1561/ are interesting watches.
Daily Archives – RIPE 90

A RIPE Meeting is a five-day event where Internet Service Providers (ISPs), network operators and other interested parties from all over the world gather.

@sodiboo I heard the Snatchers intro music in my head as I was reading this.
@sodiboo And transspecies even! *pantpantpant*
@sodiboo True. I'm wondering, was technology ever not owned by that type of people?
@punissuer @sodiboo No. That's always been the case. Tech history is a tug of war between companies, users, and other companies. Ma Bell used to own the physical phones in homes and they were proprietary. The history of Compaq was reverse engineering IBM PCs, and breaking that monopoly. It's always people with money fighting other people with money.

@bryanredeagle @punissuer @sodiboo i would even go as far as to say that tech never was as free as it is now. I mean, the fact that we have operating systems fully composed of FLOSS software now (that are actually usable) is proving this.

It of course doesn't mean things are good, just saying that they are better than in the past.

@tragivictoria @bryanredeagle @sodiboo yes! Even Microsoft is working tirelessly to make either 2025 or at least 2026 the year of the Linux desktop 😄
And we're talking about this on a social network that we can even run on our own machines, if we want to ❤️
@sodiboo Technology has no volition, it can't be cool or not. It wasn't technology that was cool, it was always that the TransFurryHackers that were cool. That the moneysick were posing as cool people (and they convinced the moneysick poser media) is really just another part of their sickness.
The "500 channel universe" was never supposed to be owned/intermediated by these morons. That happened because: NAT44, Windows-too-unsafe-to-use, Incumbent-Telco-want-eyeballs-not-citizens. #ipv6 #homehosting
I keep looking for business models that would support #littlebrother community mesh networks. Best I have come up with is community backups.
@sodiboo to be fair, there are others too!
@sodiboo No transsexual furry hacker has ever given me a hard time. To the contrary, I've had some very nice dinners and conversations with them.
