@kansaichris I experimented with local feeds that could contain links to whatever you wanted, but it was limiting because you couldn’t interact with the item (eg. boost, favorite, etc.)
An architecture limitation with Tapestry is that a feed can only have one connector: marks are the way around that.
Also, I’m unconvinced that multiple marks solve the cognitive load: it just moves it from the time of consumption to the time of creation.
But I get the need: my marked items are a wild mix.
@chockenberry Thanks, that all makes sense to me. I would argue that the act of marking an item in the moment requires less thought than trying to figure out *why* you marked it at some time in the future, but I get your point.
Would it help to rephrase this as a request for *tags* or *labels*? It’s pretty much the same thing, in terms of the functionality I’m looking for. (The current system of “marking” a post essentially allows you to add a single generic, unnamed tag/label to any post.)
