Enjoy life with your beloved wife during all the days of your fleeting life that God has given you on earth during all your fleeting days; for that is your reward in life and in your burdensome work on earth (Ecclesiastes 9:9).

Many find the Preacher's sermon in #Ecclesiastes depressing; we can understand the sentiment.

Ironically, however, many take comfort and encouragement from what the #Preacher has to say.

His message is depressing if and when we have put our confidence and ultimate value in things which are passing away.

But his ultimate message is to recognize the fleeting nature of life and everything in the creation, and therefore to find enjoyment and refreshment in the life, people, and employment God has given us in our short time here.

We should not take such things for granted or overlook them, for in this life we are not guaranteed anything further.

How can we gain appreciation for aspects of this life in Ecclesiastes?
