KDE Plasma 6.5 Beta 2 is now live!

Since the first beta of KDE Plasma 6.5 was released, several improvements and new features, such as the grayscale option for the color correction feature, were added to the release to make it more stable. The result is that the second beta is finally released!

The beta testing version contains many promising changes, such as:

  • Support for the “Picture in Picture” Wayland protocol
  • Quick toggles in System Settings’ the sidebar
  • Printer ink level monitoring and notifying of low levels
  • Install hardware drivers in Discover
  • Fuzzy matching for apps in KRunner-powered searches
  • Choose which Global Themes are shown on System Settings’ landing page
  • Option to prefer light or dark versions of dynamic wallpapers
  • Day/night wallpaper switching
  • Day/night global theme switching

The KDE Plasma 6.5 desktop environment will continue to receive fixes as it transitions to the final release, and we appreciate the hard work of KDE developers to help shape the beta.
