As usual I am always a bit late to the announcement game, but I figured I should announce before my first Premiere of the season this Saturday. I am so lucky to be a part of Noa Naamat’s amazing and epic production of Aida — this has been cathartic for me. I am thankful to be singing my favorite composer and to get to tell Aida’s story again.

I’m also really excited about the other productions this season: Felix Weingartner’s Kain und Abel is a brilliant expressionistic one act opera, and an exceedingly rare opportunity. I’m also singing Donna Anna, which is my most performed role, and I am happy to return to the role of the Witch in Hänsel und Gretel – I first sang this role 20 years ago, and I can't wait to have fun with it again!

I also get to sing Ottavia & Drusilla (& Virtù) in L’incoronazione di Poppea, which will be my first time singing pre-Baroque music. Letters to Fred will be performed twice for Holocaust Remembrance day at Landestheater Detmold and Theater Hagen, I’m thrilled to be working with these theaters!
I hope that Letters to Fred will continue each year. Thanks to Jo Herzberg for trusting me with her dad’s letters.
