I got majorly sidetracked for a couple of days but here's the looptober i worked on for day 2 aka twooptober. i sampled seal's 'crazy' and played around with it in strudel. no link to the script because my sounds are local so it won't work for other folks
today's #looptober
so, we need to get our septic system replaced and because we live in new england, turns out we live on a giant block of slate, which has been attacked for the last three days by a 40 ton excavator with jackhammer attachment. anyway this is vaguely reminiscent of what i am hearing all day
i've got some samples of the hammering but i'm too lazy to get them off my phone

for me, hearing mr rogers voice awakens this really potent combination of sadness and longing and also comfort

i'm often stopping work on these when I think to myself "this could be better if I spent another hour on it" no! NO!

This loop feels like a minor accomplishment, I had a really simple idea in my head, held onto it for a couple hours while i was doing other things, and then actually generated the thing I thought of fairly straightforwardly. I really struggle with that with audio for some reason.
ANyway, this is basically a very simple four note progression with lots of stuff thrown on it.
