Your 60-Minute Stakeholder Map

You need to know who really influences your project's future. It's not just customers. This helps you make faster, smarter decisions.

Here’s how to do it in an hour.

First, spend 15 minutes brainstorming. Write down every person or group that affects your work or is affected by it. Think about investors, suppliers, regulators, or local communities. (1/3)

Next, take 30 minutes to plot them. Draw two lines. One for Influence, one for Interest. Place each stakeholder where they belong based on their power and how much they care about your success.

Then, spend 15 minutes planning your next move. For each group on the map, decide one thing to do now. For example, if someone has high influence and supports you, reach out this week. (2/3)

Remember to include critics too. It helps to be realistic. If you're starting a fintech company, don’t forget to map regulators early, not just users.

You’ll end up with a clear picture of who matters. This makes it easier to focus your time, reduce risks, and find support you might have missed.
