@AnneTheWriter1 @tillybridges After a lifetime of manly pockets, I had surgery that required a lot of physical therapy. The PTs did not have lockers and pockets for keys, phones, wallets, etc... needed to be emptied before I started. I went with a purse. Life was better. You women have been pulling men's legs about pockets just to keep us down.

When carrying a purse is an option instead of a requirement, you are thinking of it like an entitled person experiences sexism. There are good occasions for purses, yes, but being UNABLE to put things in pockets-- because NONE of your clothes have any that can hold more than a postage stamp-- is never a good reason.

Purses can be set down and forgotten or stolen, btw, which is why I am not a fan of one, most of the time. You probably used a manly fanny pack, which doesn't tend to have that same problem. (The design for this goes back to long ago, even before old Scottish "sporran", btw. Men in kilts have been using storage similar to fanny packs for centuries, called "sporrans." So "man with a purse" is not such a new idea. Don't let people give you a hard time about it.)

@AnneTheWriter1 @tillybridges Yeah, I thought about the fanny pack but it was just too much of an old geek cliche. Instead, I went for a messenger bag/satchel.
