Has anyone here owned a Miele washer-dryer for at least five years and had bad experiences with it? I've heard good things about them and I'm planning on replacing my existing washer-dryer soon. My current one is a Samsung model that has a known design flaw in the condenser that leads to it getting covered in a thick layer of insulation and no longer working (this would be prevented by putting a filter in the right place, or mitigated by making it possible to reach the condenser for cleaning without completely dismantling the machine).

All of the reviews on their web site are from people who had just bought their machine. I'm interested in what they're like after a few years. I've heard from folks who have owned Miele washing machines for 20 years, but no one who has owned one of their combined washer-dryers.

@david_chisnall I have been working for the company in the 2010s. Back in the day, quality has been over the top, not questioned at all, everything needed to be solid and tested for at least 20yrs of lifetime.
But things changed. The company clearly suffered over structural issues. Inefficiency was everywhere. And a few years after I left, s**t hit the fan and they „optimized“.
I would not trust in reports of people, who are owning products very long, because this unfortunately is the past.
