Modelling magnetic pogo pin connectors in @FreeCAD

I blame @cmoz 😁

#weeknotes #CAD #ibal253

I have moved on to modelling magnetic pogo pin connector footprints for @kicad

#PCB #CAD #weeknotes #ibal253

Then back into @FreeCAD and the KiCadStepUp workbench to align the two things.

Now ready for me to add to my @kicad PCB design. Onwards.

So @amcewen has finished the new board design he was modelling magnetic pogo-pin connectors for.

We're trying out the CH32V203 as a chip to drive six LED noodles in the Hexanoodle board.

Here's a quick look at it (courtesy of the @kicad 3D viewer)

@MCQN_Ltd now we just need to get a few made so I can find out if it works!

It's new PCB day! 🎉

Not sure if we can class this as a #FreeCADFriday, but it does feature the magnetic pogo-pin connectors that we modelled in @FreeCAD to do the design 😀

Initial checks looks good, for the charger, regulator, etc. Need to work out how to program the CH32V203 next.

@MCQN_Ltd @FreeCAD Love the USB-C plug plug, that doubles as a tiny ruler...
@huffeec I'll have to add some measurements to the silkscreen... 🤣

@MCQN_Ltd it lives!

I worked out how to program the #CH32V203 chip (turns out that reading the silkscreen on the programmer properly and connecting the SWCLK wire to that rather than 5V helps 😆)

Blink works 😎
