This literal screenshot of an AMDGPU screen corruption from the Arch Linux BBS has such a Vibe TM.

From the same thread:

"I find it funny that I ran from Windows with it's forced TPM and hardware requirements to find Linux is kinda the same. I mean, the distributions that you can do some up to date stuff, like using hardware acceleration, play some old games using Proton, etc. Also the people in the community are the same, kinda salty because i don't upgrade my hardware."

Very true IMHO.

@csepp makes me want to revive @ffglitch (RIP botsin.space) I've been messing with a new scoring function for the bot and been pondering making it a blue sky bot so I don't have to worry about clogging up anyone's media storage
@csepp i've also been considering sourcing videos from either the internet archive or wikimedia, both filtered for CC0 stuff, since youtube is making it very annoying to download stuff with yt-dlp without a valid session cookie
@earthnuker I think bluesky also has a storage problem, they just have more VC money to solve it with. I've been thinking about making my posts expire for that reason, or some way to have an upper limit on storage, but that would require server-side modifications. It would be cool to have a scoring function for posts and do some sort of greedy LRU-like retention, but with the option to manually intervene.
@csepp for the ffglitch bot on mastodon, I had posts expire after one year, mathed it out, and it only amounts to a few tens of gigabytes used total before it starts deleting stuff
