Hundreds of young people took to the streets of #Lima, #Cusco, #Trujillo, #Arequipa and #Huancayo to protest against the government of Dina #Boluarte on the weekend of the 20 and 21 September. In Lima around 500 protesters from the youth collective Generación Z were met with 5,000 (!) police officers in riot gear, firing tear gas canisters and pellets to prevent them from congregating in major squares and avenues.
