How did you mod the device? Which resolution does the display have? What about refresh rate?
@thinkpadmuseum As I mentioned in the original post the display is a PixelQi display, a transflective LCD display from probably a decade ago now. It's 10.1 inches, has a resolution of 1024x600 and a refresh rate of 60hz. The display is capable of full colour with it's backlight and monochrome in sunlight (without backlight)
It's not cutting edge by any means but it looks gorgeous under direct sunlight, so much so that it makes me wonder why the technology never went anywhere.
@thinkpadmuseum Believe it or not this display is actually compatible with the ThinkPad out of the box. However, because the display is too small for the display housing and the X230's display cable is too short a 3D printed housing and display cable extension is required. I'm not super happy with how "rough" mine is so I'd love to try and improve it some time.
