I don't care, in the slightest, that AI "might" be useful. It's so environmentally irresponsible and I won't support companies that support AI in its current form. Companies that support AI only care about profit and not about the planet. And I'm sorry if you support AI and don't see this.

I guess by AI you mean LLMs specifically.

AI as in deep learning and machine learning in general is deeply useful and used in all kinds of situations today. People got a Nobel prize for Alphafold, and it's definitely AI and also nothing to do with LLMs.

There's also another subfield in AI called Automated Reasoning and Automated Theorem Proving, used to proof the correctness of software:

They all fall under the umbrella term Symbolic #AI - this is 100% reliable AI, but noone is talking about it!
