1.9% Moon Capture this morning! Not as crispy as I like but my ozone levels are through the roof.

So far this is the lowest % I have captured so far.

Good results!

It's tough when looking through so much atmosphere. If you can image in near infrared, you'll often find that the image is less spoiled by atmospheric seeing.

Will you try and get a look at comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) in the morning sky? It's fairly high up just before twilight starts. I'll go after it in the next 10 days before the moon moves into the morning sky.

Attached: 4 images The one-day old crescent moon next to the Pleiades, very low in the evening sky. Taken from the mountains of southern New Mexico at an elevation of 9,000 feet. First two photos are visible light. Last two are infrared. I slightly boosted the visibility of the Pleiades stars in post processing. The moon was at four degrees elevation and getting lower by the minute. With Infrared (850 nanometers long pass filter) I'm surprised at how much detail of the moon's limb I could capture while looking through so much atmosphere. #Moon #Pleiades #Astronomy #Astrophotography #Photography #Infrared #Monochrome

@KrajciTom Being in the city will not allow me for decent views of the comet. We will see if I can capture at JGAP. John Glenn Astro Park
@KrajciTom Been trying but lights here in the big city obscure my views. Not been well enough to head for dark skies.

Get well soon!

Here, it's still monsoon season. If it's not raining, it's super humid and dew is dripping off the roof before evening twilight ends. We'll see when drier air moves in....
