"Idha tappati pecca tappati
pāpakārī ubhayattha tappati
Pāpam me kataŋ’ti tappati
bhiyyo tappati duggatim gato"

Agony now, agony hereafter,
the wrongdoer suffers agony in both worlds.
Agonised now by the knowledge that he has done wrong,
he suffers more agony, gone to a state of woe.
