Here's the route of my recent two-week cycle tour of the Netherlands. 863 km over 12 riding days. In two places we stayed for two nights.
For what was a holiday, we felt the distance pushed what was a holiday, avoiding becoming a test. It was a great trip and we enjoyed seeing so much of the country.

This one is kind of #cycling related. When we travel by ferry to the Netherlands for a cycle tour, in our cabin we always check out the TV channel which shows the pets on board.
A few minutes of Pet Telly™️ is traditional. Not many pets on board this time. Usually there are lots. A bit disappointing.
On day 1 of our cycle tour we encountered some unexpected traffic on the fietspad through Zuid-Kennemerland National Park.
We decided it would be best to walk our bikes (and us!) slowly past.

This came not long after we cycled (or tried to cycle) through #Zandvoort.
We soon realised it was the day of the Dutch Grand Prix.
Two cyclists were trying to travel north.
Thousands of people were walking south towards the Grand Prix circuit.
It was slow going! A few promises to cheer for Max Verstappen seemed to help 😂
