I keep hearing that the king doesn’t actually get to choose whether to not he entertains heads of state, but surely he has a say over the guest list in general? And if not why not? What’s the point of keeping a monarch around who has no say over who comes to dinner? It’s a bad look for everyone.

I bet the full guest list is a complete train wreck. Consider that Tim Apple was there while the Kimmel decision was being made, for example.
The actual gall and embarrassment of having Rupert Murdoch at your table along side Trump if you are the head of the royal family. Like. Have you no shame feels too weak of a question. #GoodKingHarry forever but also maybe just put them all of their misery and get rid of the whole mockery already.
It’s late so I can Royal post, less likely to annoy people rn. 😂
Anyway, side note, but I do not think 🦴 and 🥚 are getting a divorce. I think they found whatever compromise/arrangement worked for them and are in it for the lang haul rn. Those are the present optics anyway.
Ultimately it’s just a good thing Harry and Meghan aren’t a part of this. I don’t love the half in talk actually unless it’s basically formalizing the work for Invictus etc. Staying far away is better. The Montecito social scene is sometimes questionable but still way preferable to whatever this is.
I might delete this later and not just because of the typos lol but I do have thoughts, I’m not only a lurker I promise.
