So Rachel Reeves & her advisors thinks the UK is being left behind in cryptocurrencies (that they seek to dignify as 'digital assets'), leading to a outline agreement to align regulatory oversight (or lack therefor) of cypto, with the intent of gaining better access to US financial markets' investment potential.

I said that Reeves had been drinking the Kool Aid but this is just madness.... acquiescing to US demands around Crypto is colluding with criminals & gamblers!

@inpc @ChrisMayLA6 I boycotted a dance music/rave radio station from Essex/London (which I once enjoyed listening to) as they have become fully dependent on an online casino for funding - if they were laundering drugs money the old bill and Ofcom would have them closed down just like they did in the pirate days, yet this equally destructive funding source is tolerated..

#DavidLammy was the second-least intellectually able #ForeignSecretary ever (#LizTruss was worse).

And #YvetteCooper as #HomeSecretary was at best middleweight.

Collectively, they were the least talented trio ever to hold the UK's three Great Offices of State. Yet the #MSM parroted the #Starmtroopers' absurd boast that this was "the adults back in charge".

As to chancellors, many others had terrible policies. But none was as dense as Reeves.

Hate crypto all you want.
And there is plenty to hate.
But in crapitalism, any good physical or virtual is worth as much as the buyer is prepared to pay.

@ChrisMayLA6 I gamble with dollars. You know, the world reserve currency, protected by Trump and Powell. Their existence is affirmed by the digits on my computer display. Where no criminals are involved. I'm pure.

What will do more harm, outsourcing regulation of nuclear reactors to Trump or regulation of crypto currencies?! Both sounds genuinely scary.
