@pietro395 Indeed! The first two Italian MEPs to give a public statement on Chat Control. Cristina Guarda explicitly attributed the many e-mails as being the reason for her reviewing the situation.

@chatcontrol According to the EMAIL from the French MEP Mathilde Androuet , all the MEP's from the National Rally ( 30 of them ) oppose chat control , by saying that they oppose breaking encryption and oppose mass surveillance ( it's my guess from what i've read in her email )

Btw I also received a mail by Daniel Freund from yesterday. I might consider sending a second email around early october and maybe risk some direct communications with the MEP's and ministers.
Mr. Freund also adviced to direct the concerns to interior ministers Dobrindt and Hubig since they're have either more decisive powers or have more direct contact with the danish presidency. I don’t know the exact details, but until then keep going with the pressure.

@Null03 @chatcontrol this might crazy to say but what happens to old messages after chat control passes? I know that probably it won't without a Germany vote but still wondering for months

@Kurosetii texts and audios aren't concerned here only images videos and urls and considering denmark wont want to compromise on that im pretty sure that the whole thing will just collapse cause germany wont want to break encryption

@quixzythegoat so old messages on apps like discord, WhatsApp, messenger and others will they not be subject to scanning? am i right?

@Kurosetii old texts and audios no even new ones aren't affected. Only images / videos and URLS and thats if a court in your country issues a detection order to any of these apps

@quixzythegoat well since discord detects CSAM automatically I don't think it need Chat control 2.0 i guess

@Kurosetii @chatcontrol What they're now discussing is pre-encryption. So your previous messages wouldn't be scanned. Just the ones you're, presently, about to send. Like, 'The mailman reading the letters before being sent.' Kinda shit. Same thing, as the mailman is STILL reading them...

@Kurosetii @chatcontrol discord recently put end to end encryption on voice chats/voice calls, curiously enough. Also, I don't think discord would be affected. I haven't seen any news about discord. Whatssap, signal, messeger, Telegram mostly...

@Null03 @chatcontrol didn't discord already have a function that can detect CSAM? I mean chat control would be useless at this point

@chatcontrol Just find out that someone in Denmark opened a petition to stop Chat control and sending it to the government so they can change their mind, we need 50k petitions to stop it but unfortunately only people who lives in Denmark and at least 18 can sign this petition right here borgerforslag.dk/se-og-stoet-forslag/?Id=FT-21156

@chatcontrol Someone had already brought this up, but there is a petition from Denmark that if they hit 50.000 signatures from Danes, this would be taken to their parlament and legally be required to reconsider.

@chatcontrol Hungarian Party "Mi Hazánk Mozgalom" is entirely against CC (https://www.facebook.com/100050605894124/posts/1300951428268375/?rdid=thxy7p73GdGB3qtS), therefore their EP representative "Zsuzsanna Borvendég" also opposes it. Please update her stance, thanks.

@chatcontrol What is CC's stance on corporate VPN-s and cloud? And what is corporates' stance on CC?
Just because, if all encryptions needed to be break, then it means, that their corporate dataflow will be prone to leak corporate secrets to anyone who has access to "supervision".
