Mr 10 has been doing a great job of DM'ing our family D&D game. Last session I noticed the Player's Handbook had some art with runes in it! And they don't look like garbage!! I can already read the first two words!

Finally! A chance to show the kids that learning the writing of our ancestors has real-world use!

After the session wraps up I begin transliteration, eager to tell the story of this epic image, and inspire a love of futhorc in my family. I'm literally trembling with excitement.

"What does it say, father?"

The first line reads:

THIS IS PHOTOSHOP'S VERSION OF LOREM IPSUM

#runes #futhorc #futhark #DandD #LoremIpsum

@pjf Is that in the updated PHB, or the 2014 one?
@sendai : It's a recent acquisition, so I'm guessing the updated one?
@pjf Hrmm, with what else they’ve done to cut costs, I guess I can’t be too disappointed they didn’t fix it. Folks noticed the glyphs in the original 5e.
